“A strong personal brand is a mix of reputation, trust, attention and execution.”
— Chris Brogan

When it comes to building your personal brand, it is important to elevate your reputation and build your value as an expert.
Your headshots, candids, detail, lifestyle, action, and product shots will all be used to help you share your brand and business with your audience in a powerful way!

With personal brand photography you can show many different aspects of yourself and your business by creating a visual brand identity, carefully developed with your personal values, brand aesthetics, and brand colors in mind.

This should be in full alignment with who you are - a congruent and confident representation of you and your business.

It is my number one goal to provide photos for you that will tell your authentic story while creating a deep connection with your audience.

What to Expect

I follow a strategic process that is simple, fun, intuitive, and highly effective.  My team and I are dedicated to making sure that every aspect of your photography session meets the highest standards.

You will receive a brand strategy consultation, professional styling, 50 images per session that include headshots, portraits, lifestyle, candids, etc., and a copyright release and commercial use license to edit, modify, and use the images for all of your marketing needs.

Our service is a collaboration of true professionals. We  provide a number of specialized, distinct advantages.

Our process combines all of the elements that we believe are essential to visually showcase and elevate your brand. This includes professional grooming, a professional wardrobe stylist who will consult with you in person and even shop for you if you’d like, and brand strategy sessions to help determine and finalize all factors including location, wardrobe, brand colors, brand messaging, brand stories, props, etc.

Your library of high-end digital images will be used for every area of your business, including:

The Process

We begin with a quick online questionnaire, followed by a discovery call to clarify your needs and requests and get your photography session on the calendar.

Next we will schedule a comprehensive strategy call, and a meeting with our wardrobe stylist. We will hash out ideas and create a specific plan of action.

On the day of your photography session you will arrive feeling fully prepared, knowing that we have everything taken care of. This is where all of our creative research and planning will come together to create your amazing brand images.

A few weeks after your session you will receive an email with a link to an online viewing album that you can go through to choose your favorite images and make any edit or retouching requests.

Your high resolution digital images will be delivered to you via an online image transferring service, along with digital downloads from the online viewing album.

What is a Commercial Use License?

Providing a commercial use license to our clients is a big deal!

Owning the commercial use license to your images will allow you to use your images wherever you want, whenever you want, and for however long you want with no licensing fees or usage fees, which is what clients normally pay commercial photographers if they want to use their images to market their business. I charge only for the time, expertise, and creative efforts of myself and my team.

Owning the commercial use license will also allow you to edit, add light, color, text, or filters to match your branding and marketing. This is something that most portrait photographers will not allow you to do.

Personal brand photography is a sub-genre of commercial photography, and it actually includes lifestyle, portrait, retail, editorial, and commercial photography. So when you work with me you will be receiving multiple genres and types of photography to tell the stories behind you and your business in a powerful, professional, and creative way.

On Location Photography

Location photos are one of the best ways to share the lifestyle and personality of your brand.

You want to select locations that are meaningful to you and give your audience a behind-the-scenes peek at what you do and how you do it. This allows them to connect with you in a way that engages, elevates, and excites them with authenticity as well as imagination.

Brand Story Sessions

The best branding campaigns are rooted in great storytelling.

Apple became the king of consumer electronics through captivating stories. Steve Jobs gave legendary presentations, and a brilliant marketing campaign made the customer the star of Apple’s stories.

Behind every small business is always a story worth telling. If your personal brand isn’t telling a story, you’ve already lost half of your potential audience.

“If you don’t give the market the story to talk about, they’ll define your brand’s story for you.”
- David Brier

One of the best ways to inspire others is by sharing your own personal stories visually through photography and video.

Create visual stories around your brand that your audience can engage with and relate to. Personal brand photography is the art of using high-quality images to tell the story of your brand. These images and the stories they tell give your audience a more enjoyable brand experience with you.

By staging a photo story, we break out of portrait mode and take some truly candid-looking photos of you in your element. This is highly effective because you can envision how the story will play out, allowing you to plan use of the best props, location, and wardrobe for each particular story. This results in cohesive and engaging photographs for you to use throughout your marketing.

What should my visual
stories consist of?

The objective behind visual stories is to share with your audience a variety of authentic, captivating images that show who you are and what you do. This creates a high level of trust and feeling of connection.

Sneak peeks into your life and how your run your business are of huge interest to your audience.

Brand Story Ideas

In addition to traditional headshots and on-the-job portraits, it's important to share photos of your products or service, as well as lifestyle candids that help your target audience get to know you and feel a connection to you. Here are just a few ideas:

- Sharing your favorite daily routines

- Interacting with friends, family, or pets

- Walking / biking / working out

- Sharing a personal interest, hobby, or passion

- Enjoying the outdoors or traveling

- Radio station / podcast

- Television guest appearance

- Keynote speaker

- Launch party / book signing

- Live performances

- Behind the scenes candids

- Demonstrating your products or product photos

- Providing a service

- Interacting with clients or team members

- Using apps, tools, or equipment

Incorporating Props, Pets, and People

The more unique you can get with your props, the better. Bringing a few items into your photos that are your brand colors is important.

It’s also a great idea to include at least one prop that is significant to you in some way. It could be a family heirloom, picture, knick-knack, memorabilia, a handmade gift from your child, etc. Something that you don’t mind sharing because it will help your audience feel a deeper connection.

Including clients, partners, family, friends, pets, etc., is also fun and helps to show who you are and what you do in your business and in your personal life.
